Napoli Stazione Maritittima / Buenos Aires Hotel de Inmigrantes (2025, ceramic, glass, photographic print, 33x23x11 cm) brings together the two extremes of an imaginary transoceanic journey: the maritime station of Naples and the Hotel de Inmigrantes in the port of Buenos Aires, which used to host migrants after their landing.

Oltremare (2025) is a video work filmed on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria. It reflects on more-than-human movements and displacements between land and sea across this shoreline, within a landscape where departure is both a historical condition and an almost existential element.

Two voices engage in a dialogue on memories of emigration, as the surrounding environment comes to the fore on the screen. The rhythm of the machinery at the port of Gioia Tauro echoes the flow of a community in perpetual motion, while the silence of abandoned spaces stands in stark contrast to the vitality of young people who animate the coastal city today.

Rooted in the artist’s family history, the work traces both the past and present of the area: from the geological transformations of a landscape once submerged by the waters to more recent stories of human migration. Oltremare unfolds as a visual narrative of belonging and the desire to move beyond, intertwining personal memory with the collective history of a territory.
